About us

Owen Booysen

Guide, Outdoor Lover, Nature Appreciator, Photographer

My name is Owen Booysen and I am a certified safari guide.  Since I was 9 years old all I wanted to do is be outside looking at animals and what they do. It fascinated me to look at them. It was my passion to be living out in the bush and still is.

From 2007 to 2010 I studied Nature Conservation at Centurion Academy, including a time in Kruger National Park doing Eco Training (Level 1 FGASA). I followed that by going to Motsumi Bush Courses to do my back-up Trails Guide Course. In 2011 I went to Botswana to work as a guide, completing my Full Trails qualification at the end of that year, and remained there until December 2013. While there I guided Safaris in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the Trans-border Kgalagadi Park (South Africa/Botswana).

Since then I have worked in Singita Kruger National Park, as a Head Guide at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve (Western Cape) and more recently in Pilanesberg National Park
